A Message From Our Founder
Margaret Transitional Homes was created from a deep passion to help men returning home from prison rebuild their lives and reconnect with their neighborhoods. I believe every person deserves a genuine second chance, along with the support, guidance, and resources needed to move forward with dignity.
As a wife and mother, I care deeply about seeing the next generation thrive in every area of life. But lasting change takes more than hope—it takes stable housing, encouragement, opportunity, and a community that is willing to stand beside people as they grow.
This work continues the example my mother set through serving others. My goal is to help men transition successfully, strengthen family and community connections, and build a safer, brighter future for themselves and the people they love.
Our purpose
Margaret Transitional Homes helps men who are transitioning back into the community connect with the services they need to become stable. We support access to long-term housing, steady employment, job training, drug and alcohol recovery services, family reunification, and dependable community resources.
Our direction
Our vision is for every man to have a real second chance and a personalized plan for growth. We want to see men build safe, stable lives; strengthen family connections; overcome barriers; develop support systems; and move forward with purpose, independence, and hope.
Service passed down. Hope carried forward.
Margaret Transitional Homes honors Margaret's lifelong example of serving others. Her daughter, Wanda Gibson Picott, carries that care forward by creating a respectful place for men to pursue a second chance.
